Testimonials

  • "Kayla is an amazing therapist and person. The way that she saw my little boys magic, hidden behind all the uncomfortable diagnosis and phrases, has just changed our family’s story. She was patient and loving, not only to my son but held so much space for me through the journey. After our visit with Kayla, something in my son shifted. He was able to engage more with me and peers. Disruptive behaviors like hitting and pushing his younger brother and eloping almost disappeared. It was almost like an unmasking was occurring, where more and more light were shining through. Witnessing this, has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. Learning to have the tools to uncover more and more of my son was just one of the many ways Kayla touched our lives profoundly. Kayla is a star in our lives and I would recommend her unquestionably, for her impressive knowledge, insight and intuition."

  • "Working with Kayla has been nothing short of life-changing for our family. From the very beginning, she approached our child’s neurodivergence not as something to be “fixed,” but as something to be understood, embraced, and empowered. Through her passion, creativity, and deep kindness, she helped us unlock the beautiful complexity of who our child truly is. She didn’t just teach us tools—she gave us insight...The bond she formed with our child is genuine, deep, and lifelong..., and we are endlessly grateful for the way she has walked with us on this journey. Her work has changed our child’s life. And ours. "

  • "Kayla Carey has been an extraordinary support to our family as we navigated J’s journey from a diagnosis of Sensory Processing Disorder to Autism. Kayla’s expertise, compassion, and unwavering commitment have made a profound difference in both J’s development and my ability to advocate for her needs. Kayla helped J discover how movement enhances her ability to think and focus—an insight that has empowered her in both academic and personal settings. She guided us through the complex process of securing a 504 Plan and an IEP, ensuring J had the accommodations she needed to thrive in school. Her support extended far beyond the classroom. Kayla taught J how to break down weekly assignments into manageable daily tasks, how to plan and pack for trips, and how to entertain herself during travel. She even helped J develop strategies for navigating emotionally complex situations, like attending her grandfather’s memorial service. Kayla has also been a pillar of support for me as a parent. She helped me understand J’s diagnosis, adapt to her evolving needs, and find ways to support her—whether we were managing without medication or adjusting to a treatment plan that now works well. Kayla’s impact on our lives has been immeasurable. Her thoughtful, individualized approach has empowered J to grow with confidence and resilience. We are deeply grateful for her dedication and care."
